The iconic model inherits the general lines, as well as the domed dial and crystal from the first Tudor diving watches. It borrows the characteristic angular hands, known as snowflake, from the watches delivered in large quantities to the French National Navy in the 1970s. Lending inspiration from the classic Submariner-like watches of the 1960s, this Tudor Heritage Black Bay 58 watch is sophisticated in both style and functionality.The Tudor Black Bay 58 18K was a very unexpected entry into the Black Bay catalogue. The case is made from solid 18K yellow gold as its name suggests. It does retain the 39mm diameter of previous generation models and the lug-to-lug remains the same, around 47-48mm. However, the thickness has increased by less than millimetre to 12.7mm. This is due to the fact it has an exhibition caseback allowing you to view the decorated COSC-certified manufacture caliber MT5400. The case is entirely satin-brushed, it gives a muted luxury aesthetic but it works incredibly well with the contrasting green dial and bezel. Current RRP £17,270.
