Overview The Fireye UV7R4 is a precision non-self-checking ultraviolet flame scanner designed for industrial burner management and flame safeguard applications. This sensor is specifically engineered to monitor gas or oil flames that cycle on and off frequently. It features a 90-degree right-angle viewing head, making it ideal for installations with limited space or where a side-view orientation is required. The UV7R4 works in conjunction with Fireye flame safeguard controls to check for “runaway” or short-circuited scanners at the beginning and end of each flame cycle to ensure operational safety. Features High-sensitivity ultraviolet (UV) sensor for reliable detection of gas and oil flames. 90-degree right-angle design for flexible mounting in tight burner configurations. Non-self-checking operation suitable for burners that cycle at least once every 24 hours. Integrated flame safeguard protection against short circuits and reverse connections. UL listed and FM approved for industrial safety compliance. Rugged construction with 72-inch (1830mm) unshielded lead wires. Specifications Model: UV7R4 Mount: 1/2 inch NPT Viewing Angle: 90 degrees (Right Angle) Supply Voltage: 425 VDC /- 25 VDC Discharge Current: 0.1 mA Temperature Range: -20 C to 60 C (-4 F to 140 F) Lead Wires: 72 inches (1830 mm) Maximum Operating Distance: 76 m (250 feet) total wire length Shipping Weight: Approximately 3 lbs (1.4 kg) Applications The UV7R4 is used with Fireye MB-Series (Multi-Burner) and SB-Series (Single-Burner) controls, as well as MBPF-100S and MB-600PF flame sensing modules. It is primarily applied in industrial combustion systems, such as furnaces and boilers, to monitor flames from gaseous fuels or light oils. It is particularly effective in multi-burner environments where selective flame monitoring is necessary and space for frontal viewing is unavailable.

Installation Guidelines

Always make sure the wall has been wiped clean prior to installation.

Temporary installation :

3M (Picture hanging strips) or double sided tape can be used.Glue or staple picture hanging strip to the back of the acoustic panels. Because of their porous sound absorbing nature they do not stick as well to the 3m/double sided strip as the wall will.
