Overview The Fireye MEUV4 is a plug-in ultraviolet (UV) amplifier module designed for use with the Fireye Modular MicroM flame safeguard control system. It provides precise ultraviolet flame signal processing for industrial and commercial burner management applications. This non-self-checking amplifier is engineered to deliver reliable flame monitoring and rapid safety responses by communicating with the burner control chassis to ensure safe ignition and continuous combustion. Features Ultraviolet (UV) flame signal detection for accurate flame verification. 3-second nominal Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT) for rapid safety shutdowns (4 seconds maximum). Plug-in design allows for easy installation and replacement within the MicroM chassis. Built-in test jacks provide a uniform 0-10 VDC output for real-time flame signal strength measurement. Compatible with a wide range of standard Fireye ultraviolet scanners. Incorporates a safety checking circuit that operates on every start to detect simulated flame conditions. Specifications Model Number: MEUV4 Compatible Scanners: UV1A, UV2, UV8A, 45UV3-1050, 45UV5-1008, 45UV5-1009 Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT): 3 seconds nominal (4 seconds maximum) Test Jack Output: 0-10 VDC Operating Temperature: -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C) Shipping Weight: Approximately 3 lbs (including chassis) Supply Voltage: Determined by the MicroM chassis (typically 120 VAC or 230 VAC) Applications The Fireye MEUV4 is used in commercial and industrial burner management systems, including furnaces, boilers, and power generation equipment. It is designed for applications firing any type of fuel (gas or oil) where the burner cycles at least once every 24 hours (or once every 12 hours depending on local codes) to exercise the safety checking circuit. It is a critical component for systems requiring high-speed flame failure protection.

Installation Guidelines

Always make sure the wall has been wiped clean prior to installation.

Temporary installation :

3M (Picture hanging strips) or double sided tape can be used.Glue or staple picture hanging strip to the back of the acoustic panels. Because of their porous sound absorbing nature they do not stick as well to the 3m/double sided strip as the wall will.
