Overview The Fireye MP230 is a plug-in programmer module used with the Fireye Modular M-Series II flame safeguard control system. It is designed to provide automatic ignition and continuous flame monitoring for commercial and industrial burners using gas or light oil. The MP230 is highly versatile, featuring user-selectable settings for purge timing and trial-for-ignition (TFI) via integrated dipswitches. It facilitates essential burner functions such as sequencing and safety shutoff, and its plug-in design allows for easy installation and replacement within compatible M-Series II chassis. Features Selectable Purge Timing: Dipswitches allow for multiple timing options including 5, 7, 30, 60, and 240 seconds. Adjustable Trial for Ignition (TFI): Supports selectable PTFI timing of 5 or 10 seconds. Recycle or Non-Recycle Operation: Users can configure the control to either attempt a restart or lock out upon flame failure. Status Indicators: Built-in LED lights provide clear visual feedback on the operating status of the control. Plug-in Design: Engineered for quick installation into standard M-Series II wiring bases and chassis. Safety Lockout: Automatically activates an alarm circuit and requires a manual reset in the event of ignition failure or safety shutdown. Specifications Supply Voltage: 120 VAC (typically used with MC120 chassis) or 230 VAC (with MC230 chassis). Power Consumption: 12 VA (Operating). Temperature Range: -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius). Humidity: 0 to 95 percent non-condensing. Shipping Weight: Approximately 2 lbs to 3 lbs. Dimensions: Approximately 5.75 x 4 x 1.75 inches. Protection: Integrated field-replaceable 8-amp fuse for overload protection. Applications The MP230 Programmer is used in commercial-sized heating systems, industrial process burners, and power plant combustion management. It is ideal for monitoring flames from gaseous fuels like natural gas and propane, as well as light oil fuels. Common applications include industrial boilers, food processing ovens, and petrochemical refining systems where precise control over purge and ignition timing is required for safe operation.

Installation Guidelines

Always make sure the wall has been wiped clean prior to installation.

Temporary installation :

3M (Picture hanging strips) or double sided tape can be used.Glue or staple picture hanging strip to the back of the acoustic panels. Because of their porous sound absorbing nature they do not stick as well to the 3m/double sided strip as the wall will.
