Overview The Fireye UV7A4 is a non-self-checking, straight ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for industrial and commercial burner management systems. It is specifically engineered to monitor gas or oil flames that cycle on and off frequently. The scanner works by detecting UV radiation from the flame, which ionizes a gas-filled quartz tube to produce a signal. It features a robust design capable of withstanding high-temperature environments and includes a 1/2 inch F.N.P.T. insulated nylon coupling to prevent heat conduction from the burner to the scanner. Features High-sensitivity ultraviolet sensing for precise flame detection. Non-self-checking design optimized for intermittent operation. Solar blind spectral sensitivity (180 to 230 nanometers) to prevent false signals from sunlight. Integrated check for short-circuited or “runaway” scanner conditions at the beginning and end of each cycle. Straight viewing configuration with a 4-foot shielded flexible cable. UL listed and FM approved for safety and reliability. Specifications Model Number: UV7A4 Supply Voltage: 425 VDC /- 25 VDC Discharge Current: 0.3 mA Connection: 1/2 inch F.N.P.T. straight mount with insulated nylon coupling Cable: 4 feet (122 cm) shielded flexible cable with two #18 AWG conductors Temperature Range: -4 degree F to 257 degree F (-20 degree C to 125 degree C) Maximum Operating Distance: 250 feet (76 m) total wire length Shipping Weight: 3 lbs (1.4 kg) Applications The UV7A4 is used for monitoring flames from gas, oil, or coal-fired burners in industrial and commercial combustion systems. It is compatible with Fireye MB-Series Multi-Burner controls, SB-Series Single Burner controls, and flame sensing modules including MBPF-100S and MB-600PF. It is ideal for high-temperature applications where the burner cycles at least once every 24 hours.

Installation Guidelines

Always make sure the wall has been wiped clean prior to installation.

Temporary installation :

3M (Picture hanging strips) or double sided tape can be used.Glue or staple picture hanging strip to the back of the acoustic panels. Because of their porous sound absorbing nature they do not stick as well to the 3m/double sided strip as the wall will.
