The Honeywell R7861A1026 Amplifier FOR USE WITH RM78XX AND EX78XX Relay Modules, 50/60HZ, 2 OR 3 SEC Flame FAILURE RESPONSE TIME. R7861A1026 Honeywell Dynamic Self-Check UV Flame Amplifier Datasheet Overview of R7861A1026 Honeywell Dynamic Self-Check UV Flame Amplifier The Honeywell R7861A1026 is a dynamic self-checking ultraviolet (UV) amplifier module used in combustion control systems. It works with self-checking UV flame detectors to provide amplified flame signals and continuous diagnostic validation of both detector and amplifier circuits. Its plug-in design fits Honeywell 7800 series relay modules and supports advanced flame supervision in burner safety systems. Specifications Feature Detail Model R7861A1026 Amplifier Type UV / optical, dynamic self-check Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT) Selectable 2.0 or 3.0 seconds Flame Signal Output 0.0 to 5.0 V DC Compatibility Works with C7061A self-checking UV detectors Mounting / Connection Plug-in edge connector for 7800 series relay modules Minimum Flame Signal (acceptable) ~1.25 V DC Diagnostics Self-check mechanism tests electronics and detector path Test Jacks Provided for measuring flame signal voltage Color Coding UV detectors and amplifiers often use specific color coding for identification Features & Benefits Self-checking functionality ensures detection reliability and early fault indication Selectable FFRT allows system tuning for safety and responsiveness 0–5 V DC output enables diagnostic monitoring or integration with control systems Plug-in design simplifies installation and replacement Works with Honeywell’s UV sensing modules, providing system compatibility and support Diagnostic test jacks facilitate maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting Applications Industrial and commercial burner/flame control systems Boilers and furnaces using UV flame detection Safety supervision in combustion systems requiring fault detection Retrofits of older amplifier modules to dynamic self-check versions Systems needing both flame amplification and continuous diagnostic verification Installation & Maintenance Notes Orient the amplifier correctly when inserting into the relay module (connector is keyed) Use test jacks during commissioning or troubleshooting to assess voltage signal Monitor for self-check fault conditions; replace module if faults persist Ensure connectors are clean, dry, and free of corrosion for optimal signal transfer Handle carefully to avoid bending or damaging the edge connector

Installation Guidelines

Always make sure the wall has been wiped clean prior to installation.

Temporary installation :

3M (Picture hanging strips) or double sided tape can be used.Glue or staple picture hanging strip to the back of the acoustic panels. Because of their porous sound absorbing nature they do not stick as well to the 3m/double sided strip as the wall will.
